Spees Design Build We are currently seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to join our growing A/E team in Bremerton, WA . In this role, you will work directly with our Lead Mechanical Engineer and department leaders across the firm.
This position offers the opportunity to shape high-impact projects that improve critical infrastructure and public-sector facilities across the United States.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

• 1 to 4+ years of experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with HVAC load calculation software.
• Leadership or management experience is a plus.
• Experience with federal design work and federal projects is a plus.

Perform mechanical design tasks, including:

HVAC load calculations
Verifying compliance with building codes, energy codes, and various standards.
Space planning and equipment layouts
Specification editing and review
Visit project sites to gather design information and document existing conditions.
Take ownership of the mechanical design scope of work for a project and ensure all project requirements are achieved.
Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods
Occasional travel to various project sites for field investigation and construction inspection (20%)
