The Reinsurance and Portfolio Underwriter is responsible for underwriting and monitoring assumed reinsurance transactions, program and MGA business, and providing underwriting diligence on strategic initiatives in support of the Reinsurance and Portfolio Management department. This role operates with broad scope across multiple underwriting workstreams rather than a single fixed book, and requires the ability to evaluate risk quality and make sound underwriting decisions across unfamiliar lines and deal structures with minimal lead time. What You\'ll Do Assumed Reinsurance Underwriting and Monitoring Evaluate and underwrite assumed reinsurance transactions sourced directly or through reinsurance intermediaries.

Monitor and report on assumed reinsurance portfolio performance, identifying emerging risk and performance trends.

Program and MGA Underwriting and Monitoring Underwrite business produced through program administrators and MGAs.

Monitor and report on book performance on an ongoing basis, managing the relationship with program administrators and MGAs against agreed parameters.

Special Projects Provide underwriting judgment and risk assessment support on strategic initiatives, including partnerships, investments, and acquisitions.

Assess the quality and risk profile of a target\'s book of business as part of due diligence.

Support work across both Owned and Partner Programs teams as needed, based on project requirements.

Bachelor\'s degree required

Demonstrated ability to underwrite unfamiliar lines of business and deal structures with minimal ramp-up time

Strong analytical judgment for evaluating risk quality in non-standard or unfamiliar structures

Experience working with underwriting data and analytical tools
