RN Telemetry Weekend Shift

Registered Nurse

Position: RN MS/Tele (Ortho)

The position requires 1 year of experience in a related role. Shifts will follow a 3x12 hour schedule during the day. Every other weekend shift is required, totaling 6 weekend shifts per contract. Requests for time off must be included with the submission. The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates may apply according to specified radius rules. An active license is required; no pending licenses will be accepted. Charting must be done using EPIC, with 1 year of experience necessary. Required Certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Clinical Skills needed include experience with orthopedics. The unit is a 26-bed orthopedic spine unit specializing in spinal surgeries. Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6 for adults. Patients may present with medical/surgical diagnoses, telemetry needs, cardiac issues, diabetes, and respiratory conditions. Special procedures on the unit include bedside lumbar punctures and post-surgical care. Floating to other units may be required as needed, based on competency. Teamwork is essential, with interdisciplinary support available. Patient care focuses on comprehensive management, pain care, and mobility support. Compliance with facility policies and procedures is expected. Looking for candidates who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing essential patient care.
