Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring an active Oregon RN license and ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
Details

• Emergency Department setting providing care for patients across the full acuity spectrum, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies
• Night shift schedule, 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift
• 13-week contract length
• Floating to other qualified departments may be required before core staff are floated
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays as the department operates 24/7

Requirements
Active RN license in the State of Oregon
Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
BSN preferred
Previous clinical experience preferred, though not required
Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols
Ability to work under pressure in high-stress, fast-paced situations
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and continuously walk and stand throughout shifts
CRASE training required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
Additional Information
Conduct patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care based on severity of condition
Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments per physician orders, including wound care and splinting
Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and adjust interventions as needed
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff
Document patient information and treatment plans in electronic health records
Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up care
Respond to rapid response calls, code blue situations, and other critical events
Follow infection control protocols to minimize risk to patients and staff
Work environment involves exposure to infection, contagious disease, hazardous materials, and occasionally combative patients
Certifications specific to clinical specialty areas are preferred
