CNA - Medical Services

The Certified Medical Assistant provides professional clinical care for patients following established standards and practices. Provides quality patient care under the direct supervision of the Providers while directly reporting to the Regional Office Manager.

Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations

Prepare, restock and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas per established policies and procedures

Accompany patients to examination or treatment room, measure and record vital signs, review patient’s medical history, update information and changes in medical history as needed, and prepare them for examination or treatment

Assist Providers during treatment/procedures, examinations, and testing of patients

Where applicable, clean wounds, draw labs, complete electrocardiograms, and apply dressings and splints perform phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection per established policies and procedures as directed by the Provider

Administer vaccines, immunizations and medications prescribed by the Provider; ensure patient’s understanding of care instructions and wellness plan

Represent the clinic in a friendly, professional manner; treat all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner

Demonstrate and embody TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track’s mission and core values

Comply with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines regarding patient confidentiality as well as follow all principles of medical ethics

Complete required training

Strong patient focus with an ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, collaboration and partnerships, as well as ensuring positive patient, team member and provider experiences

self-motivated and self-starter with ability to work independently with limited supervision

Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and in sometimes emotionally challenging situations

Ability to cross train between front office and mid office responsibilities as needed to ensure a high functioning clinic

Ability to follow established office routines and organizational policies

High School Diploma or equivalent

Active Medical Assistant certification

Experience with EPIC, preferred

This position operates on-site in a professional medical environment

Consistent use of technology platforms throughout shift to complete assigned work tasks

Ability to move supplies and office equipment (up to 20 lbs.)

Work Schedule and Travel:

Typical Work Schedule: 40-hour work week Sunday through Saturday with 3 x 12-hour shifts and 1x 6-hour shift within designated Region

Every other weekend shift, Saturday and Sunday, required

Mileage reimbursement available for eligible business travel

May require traveling to clinics outside assigned Region during training

Overtime hour availability based on patient volume and clinic need
