Teaching Faculty Positions - Instructors

Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Adjunct (General Education)

Required Education: All faculty members must provide minimum SACS credential standards which normally include an earned Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with application.

Preferred Education: None specified.

Create and maintain an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned (face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction).

Assessment of student performance, including submission of final grades in a timely fashion.

Attend adjunct faculty meetings.

Complete any required training.

Instruct in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses.

Communicate effectively with students, college personnel and administration, peers and public groups.

Treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice, without discrimination based upon age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity.

Exercise the highest professional and ethical standards in the use of college time and resources.

Observe the stated policies and procedures of the college.
