Registered Nurse - Part Time - Flex Unit

Hourly Pay Range:
$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Registered Nurse
Part Time 20 hrs/week
Regularly performs duties of professional nurse which includes assessing patients' condition, developing and administrating patient plan of care, documenting care administered, and evaluating patient care outcomes. Warmly welcomes patients to the unit. Promotes and maintains a safe, therapeutic milieu by providing appropriate supervision and feedback to the other direct care staff. Interacts with the patient, the patient's family, and the appropriate health care providers to collect and analyze data regarding the patient's physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs. Participates in development of interdisciplinary planning process. Ensures that medical problems are incorporated into the treatment plan.
Assists in the development and attainment of nursing department goals and objectives; Assists in the selection and orientation of qualified personnel to provide optimum patient care; serves as a role model and central resource person for students; explains and clarifies organization policies and procedures to staff and patients; utilizes opportunities with community groups to further their knowledge and understanding of mental health problems.
supervises direct patient care as required; works within budgetary constraints to include staffing, use of overtime and use of supplies and equipment.
Maintain information as highly confidential
Nursing degree
One-year psychiatric experience
Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the psychiatric population
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license
