As a Math Content Coach (Math Teacher) , you will serve as the primary instructional resource for our Graduation Candidates (GCs), delivering competency-based content, supporting personalized learning, and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success. You'll work with a collaborative team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support that empowers each learner's journey.

This position is part of a new school launch, with hiring aligned to support the upcoming academic year.
Serve as an advisor for assigned GCs by maintaining communication with learners and their support team
Monitor attendance, academic progress, and overall wellness to ensure consistent engagement and achievement
Academics
Plan and deliver content-area instruction in both individual and small group settings
Monitor GC academic progress toward course completion and mastery using formative and summative assessments
Analyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
Participate in professional development, data meetings, and school/community events
Represent the academy in community events and contribute to academy-wide initiatives
Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the academy's mission
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
Licensure: Ohio Adolescence to Young Adult (7-12) license in Integrated Mathematics preferred. We welcome candidates on multiple pathways: educators with a comparable out-of-state math license (we support Ohio license transfer), and candidates with a bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field, who may qualify to teach math through Ohio's substitute licensure pathway with unlimited teaching days in their subject area. Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred)
Skills: Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills
A deep commitment to helping at-risk youth succeed academically and personally
Experience working in non-traditional or at-risk youth settings
Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and alternative education models
Experience with competency-based learning, instructional coaching, or project-based education
Strong comfort with educational technology tools and platforms
