Position Details
Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Job Responsibilities
Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Provide therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training to patients.
Assist patients in improving strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and mobility.
Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs, safety precautions, and mobility techniques.
Train patients in the use of assistive devices such as walkers, canes, and wheelchairs.
Assist with transfer training, gait training, and activities designed to increase independence.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
Maintain treatment documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Ensure a safe therapeutic environment and promote patient comfort and recovery.
Required Qualifications
Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
Previous rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or subacute experience preferred
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
