Managing & Associate Attorney

A nationally recognized personal injury firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its growing Chicago office. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong PI litigation background who is comfortable managing cases through trial and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will handle a full caseload with support from an experienced team and have the opportunity to take on significant responsibility, including courtroom advocacy and team leadership.
Responsibilities
Manage personal injury matters from filing through trial
Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial prep
Lead and collaborate with a litigation team (including support staff)
Communicate regularly with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and internal teams
Develop case strategy and drive matters toward resolution or trial
Oversee pre-litigation case handling and negotiation when needed
Maintain strong attention to detail across high-volume caseloads
Work with complex cases, including those involving commercial motor vehicles
Qualifications
- Active Illinois bar license in good standing (required)
- 3+ years of personal injury litigation experience (plaintiff or defense)
- Strong Illinois court and litigation experience required
- Trial experience or significant trial exposure preferred
- Experience handling depositions, discovery, and motion practice
- Experience with trucking or commercial vehicle cases is a plus
- Leadership or team supervision experience preferred
