Project & Program Associate – Customer Programs

Pay Rate: $40–$45/hour DOE

Duration: 1-year W2 contract with potential to extend or convert

Schedule: Hybrid – onsite Monday–Thursday; Friday onsite or remote

Position Overview

A leading Southern California utility organization is seeking a Project & Program Associate to support customer-focused programs within its wildfire mitigation initiatives. This role will coordinate projects, maintain program data and reporting, support vendors and customers, and help ensure programs operate effectively and meet established requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage small to mid-sized projects from planning through completion, including timelines, deliverables, budgets, and project requirements.

Track program activities, performance metrics, and project status while maintaining accurate reporting and documentation.

Develop and maintain implementation plans, procedures, handbooks, and other program materials.

Maintain and enhance program data using multiple internal data sources and reporting tools.

Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.

Support vendor management and procurement activities for project-related materials and services.

Respond to customer inquiries, provide program information, and verify eligibility requirements.

Identify and elevate risks or issues that could impact project timelines or deliverables.

Prepare status reports and ensure projects remain aligned with established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Experience supporting or managing projects, programs, or cross-functional initiatives.

Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with experience managing data, tracking activities, and preparing reports.

Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, leadership, vendors, and external partners.

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred: Experience within utilities, energy, customer programs, regulatory programs, wildfire mitigation, or another highly regulated environment.
