Production Welder- Manufacturing

Job TitleChallenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that would be responsible to mig weld automotive lifts and lift components as assigned by the Production Supervisor. Starts out at $20.19/hr and attendance incentive and $2 shift differential. Hours are 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday.ResponsibilitiesMig weld components for automotive liftsPlace components on paint lineDrive forklift when neededAssist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with an emphasis on safetySuggests and assists in process improvements which assures safety, quality and efficiency is built into the processAssist in assembly and fabrication processes as neededOther duties as assignedQualificationsAbility to be certified in mig welding in the horizontal positionAbility to read a tape measureBasic blueprint readingExcellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organizationStrong understanding of process interactionStrong problem solving skillsUnderstanding general manufacturingMust be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hoursMust be able to periodically lift up to 50 poundsAlign with the Snap-on mission statementMust wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).Must adhere to safety guidelines
