Associate Employment Attorney
Our client is one of the premiere tri-state employment law firms. This position is located in their downtown NYC office.
We are looking for a highly motivated associate to support the firm's partners in all aspects of litigation, including depositions, brief writing/legal research and courtroom advocacy. Ideally, we are looking for a motivated attorney (NY/NJ) with experience in employment law, civil rights law, police brutality law or municipal liability experience. (But we are open to folks coming from Personal Injury or Civil Rights)
Represent workers challenging employers' discrimination, harassment, and wage theft in class action and individual litigation.
Draft mediation statements, default motions, discovery motions and oppositions to dispositive motions
Assist partner with the preparation and participate in negotiations for private mediations and settlement conferences
Draft state and federal complaints and manage statutory and administrative deadlines
