As a member of Safran Seats, you contribute to providing over one million seats to airlines worldwide, ensuring superior quality, comfort, and innovation. The Industrialization Leader is responsible for the technical review and preparation of new products, ensuring they reach the production phase on time and of good quality. They support manufacturing and processes to lead the successful industrialization of new products, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality adherence. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products from conception through to first article validation and to the production phase. They work under basic supervision and are generally able to operate independently, and are able to participate in projects and improvement initiatives.
Authorities: This position has the authority to approve/reject engineering drawings, contribute to program reviews and initiate actions to reduce the risk of their projects. They are able to manage projects on their own.They may also serve as a lead of a local team.
Manufacturing Engineer-
Work closely with Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering to design and implement process and equipment layouts and improvements. Support Operations through technical support, product design, quality standards and process improvement
Must have strong technical skills in engineering (design and industrialization), knowledge about quality management like root cause analysis or statistical process control. Must have strong inter-personal skills and be highly energetic. This position works under general supervision.
List the current duties and responsibilities each which account for more than 5-10% of the incumbent's time or are critical to the successful performance of the job
i) As a member of an Integrated Program Team, provide support to ensure program is successful and serve as the focal of Tooling, Fabrication, Operations and Manufacturing Planning to ensure the needs of these groups are met and communication is clear
ii) Collaborate with engineering throughout design and development process, capture and document engineering/build problems and work with engineering to solve, support design review process

vi) Work with Manufacturing Planning and Industrial Engineering/ME Planner (VWI) team to ensure routing and instructions for subassemblies and seat assembly are clear and correct and include proper instructions and tools
vii) Prepare for a smooth product launch and support pre-production and production build areas

i) Provide technical support related to manufacturing
ii) Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
iv) Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards
C) Process Improvement
i) Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations
i) Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures
ii) Purchase equipment, consumable, and non-consumable tools
# S degree in a related technical field (e.g.: Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer/Technology, Aeronautics Engineer, or Electrical Engineer) or an Associate degree with 6 years related experience or 12 years of job related experience
Work Experience - Technical knowledge-

• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Catia or design modeling a plus
• Must have basic knowledge of production methods, process capabilities, tooling processes, and manufacturing processes
• Must have basic knowledge of manufacturing and related operations with detailed knowledge of such fields as product design, engineering function, tool design, tool fabrication, ergonomics and EHS, space layout, handling equipment, production machinery and equipment, N/C machinery and equipment, factory methods work, etc…
• Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
• Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and Operating Systems
• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
