Job TitleJob Duties and Experience Desired:5+ years of experience in metallurgy Specifically steel heat treat processesInduction hardening on strip steelBatch heat treat using furnaces for crankshaftsKnowledge of metal turning and/or stamping We make guide bars, pistons, and crankshafts in our metal areasUse of quality tools 8D, FMEA, Process AuditsDevelops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.Establishes programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality activities.Develops and generates statistical reports on inspection activities and results, new product or process testing results, etc. and recommends action as required.Maintains currency with respect to technical skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed.All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.Specifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience, is preferred
