We are looking to add a CAD Designer I to our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of CAD design assignments in support of the mechanical engineering team including the creation of models and/or drawings from CAD, sketches, notes, and other documentation provided by engineering staff. Candidates should be comfortable with a varied workflow that may involve multitasking between library management, CAD design, review, and other related tasks.
Provide CAD drawing support (SolidWorks Drawings) throughout the product development process.
Identify problems or issues in CAD designs and drawings and provide corrective actions.
Manage and control mechanical digital data files and drawings.
Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders.
Input data and manage hardware structures in a Product Data Management tool (SolidWorks PDM).
Associates or Technical degree in Computer Aided Design or Engineering related field
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Computer Aided Design.
Proficiency in using SolidWorks.
Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and product specifications.
Strong mechanical proficiency and general understanding of manufacturing (CNC, 3D printing, etc.) and mechanical assembly techniques.
100 (Engineering Drawing Practices), and its application techniques.
Previous experience in supporting the design of electronic packages, ground structures, mechanisms, and/or composite structures.
Aerospace or automotive electronics design experience.
