During the Summer months (May-September) Aquatics employees may receive a 20% increase in base pay as a seasonal incentive. The Lifeguard position varies in number of hours worked per week.

Under general supervision, accomplishes specialized work in protecting life, preventing accidents, enforcing safety regulations, providing instructions, and assisting in the operation of the public swimming pool. Supervises swimming activities in and around pools to insure that policies, rules, and regulations are observed and enforced, and that no safety hazards are created; assists in cleaning the pool and related facilities and equipment; Some experience in lifesaving, swim instruction or advanced swimming is preferred. General knowledge of equipment operations relating to swimming pools; knowledge of the means of lifesaving and of artificial respiration, knowledge of first aid and its application. demonstrate swimming proficiency, and be in to physical condition at all times.
