CNA Hospice Care Center (PRN)

Michael's Hospice is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with serious, chronic, or terminal illnesses. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for our patients and their families through exceptional care and support.Primary function is to provide personal healthcare and related services to the patient in their place of residence; Provides direct patient care to patients under the direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.

Provides necessary skills to assist the patient with safe transfers and ambulation per the Hospice policy.

Provides necessary skills to appropriately report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to the patient to ensure continuity of care.

Practices accepted infection control principles. Provides skills necessary to assist the patient with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.

Contributes to the management and efficient operation of the Hospice and demonstrates effective time management skills.

Provides skills necessary to perform treatments and procedures according to the Hospice policy.

Promotes the Hospice philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.

Education: High School Diploma Preferred. A) Training program/competency evaluation as specified in §418.76(b)(c) of the Medicare regulations;C) Nurse aide training/competency evaluation program approved by the state and listed in good standing on the state nurse aide registry;Experience: At least one year of experience preferred as a Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, home health agency, hospice, or long-term care facility or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program.

Skills: Must be able to read, write, and verbally report clinical information to patients, representatives, and caregivers, as well as to other hospice staff. Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
