Remote Human Resources Rep. Contractor

We combine clinical excellence with operational innovation to serve members across the U.S. and internationally, scaling access to cutting-edge metabolic and cardiovascular care.Position OverviewOvadia Heart Health is seeking an experienced HR Administrator to own and operate our HR function. This is a part-time (10-15 hours/week), fully remote W2 role for someone who can balance strategy, execution, and risk management.This role is responsible for the full employee lifecyclefrom onboarding to offboardingensuring that our HR systems, policies, and processes are structured, compliant, and built to scale.What Youll Do Own the Employee LifecycleManage onboarding, performance management, and offboardingLead all termination processes and documentationImprove the employee and contractor experienceTBD: Run biweekly payroll (currently accounting function) Drive HR Strategy & StructureAdvise leadership on hiring, org structure, and team scalingDevelop roles, compensation structures, and performance frameworksAlign HR strategy with company growth Manage Risk & ComplianceOversee HR policies and employee handbookEnsure compliance with state and federal employment lawsIdentify and mitigate legal, operational, and cultural risks Build Systems & ProcessesCreate and improve HR workflows and SOPsImplement scalable systems (e.g., time tracking, compliance frameworks)Streamline HR operations for efficiency and consistency Workers Compensation Audit & ComplianceManage the annual workers compensation audit processCoordinate required documentation and ensure accurate payroll reportingResolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements Partner with LeadershipWork closely with the COO on HR execution and prioritiesCollaborate with the CFO on workforce planning, including budgeted hires and timelinesEnsure hiring plans align with company growth and financial targetsWhat Were Looking For5+ years of HR experience (manager or senior generalist level)Strong understanding of multi state employment law and complianceExperience managing the full employee lifecycleAbility to handle sensitive situations with discretionHighly organized with strong process-building skillsComfortable operating independently in a remote environmentExperience with building out HR department and structure in rapidly growing work environmentsTBD: Experience with multi-state payroll and new overtime reporting laws (currently accounting function)Experience with Gusto, Wedge HR and/or similar HR platformsRole DetailsPart-time (10-15 hours/week)W2 employee (not contractor/1099)Fully remoteMust be available during standard business hoursReports to COO and partners closely with CFOCompensation$48 - $58 per hour DOE (part-time, W2)
