About This Role The Registered Nurse ED at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn is responsible for nursing care and outcomes for a group of patients, providing care through the nursing process in collaboration with the health team. Department/Unit: Emergency Department

Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift

Demonstrate personal accountability for professional practice and growth.

Document patient assessment, reassessment, and progress toward goal achievement accurately and timely.

Promote patient safety and quality, including adherence to National Patient Safety Goals.

Communicate and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members, escalating situations appropriately.

Administer medication and parenteral therapy in accordance with policy and procedure, including blood administration.

Establish priorities for patient care delivery and use critical thinking skills to coordinate and complete responsibilities.

Provide patient/family education and assist in discharge planning, considering readiness and barriers.

Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care based on relevant criteria for patients served.

Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program, BSN preferred

Experience: Critical Care/ED experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in NYS
