MCP Nocturnist/Hospitalist APP (NP/PA) Marion

Required Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with current licensure or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina.

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner candidates must be licensed or eligible, with prior hospital medicine and/or ICU experience preferred.

Must have at least 6 months of Hospitalist Medicine Experience.

Currently licensed (or eligible) in the state of South Carolina as a Physician Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners or as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with the SC Board of Nursing.

Requires certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). If ACLS is not current, provider must enroll and receive certificate by start date.

APRN or PA must maintain licenses, certifications, CNEs/CMEs, etc. as required by applicable policies and state law.

DHEC and DEA license.

Position Highlights

7 on 7 off schedule (7PM-7AM)

Inpatient (18 years - death)

Evaluates and treats on the basis of history, physical examination, radiological, laboratory, and other diagnostic test results pursuant to the practice agreement or scope of practice guideline.

Initiates referrals to other health care providers and/or consults with the attending physician or the collaborating physician.

Documents and bills for direct care provided.

Potential to precept students at MUSC enrolled as an advanced practice provider student and facilitates the learning of other new team members.
