Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) Weekends

Schedule: Weekdays, Weeknights, Weekends, no holidays.

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

IV certification and experience in central line care and management.

Current state RN license required; a minimum of two years RN license in other states is a plus.

Experience with medical terminology.

Home care, critical care, emergency nursing, AIC, or hospital discharge planning.

Basic level skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Willingness to travel to patients’ homes and other healthcare facilities.

Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers; meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.

Bachelor’s degree.

Registered Nurse degree and licensure.

Experience with medical terminology preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of the nursing process to schedule visits in accordance with prescriptions and established protocols.

Coordinate and confirm scheduled visits with patients and the nursing agency/RN.

Follow up on and enter therapy administration reports and email to the team.

Review nurses’ notes for content, accuracy, and completeness.

Maintain continual communication with families, supervisors, field personnel, and agencies about patient needs.

Report problems and relevant situations to the referring MD and appropriate office administrator and LUX Infusion nursing.

Perform all computer functions including input, reports, and searches.

monitor infusion sites; Prepare clinical records, care plans, and progress notes for each patient.

Coordinate schedule of patient visits and phone calls.

Work at the patient’s place of care.

Prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.

Participate in quality assurance activities and audits as directed.

Provide professional nursing care within the department.

Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.

Provide care that meets psychosocial and physical needs.

Determine priorities of care based on patient needs and system factors.

Possess medical‑surgical experience or knowledge in phlebotomy and venous access.

Instruct patients on proper IV or PICC line care.

Excellent customer service skills.
