Pharmacy Technician
Dispensing prescription medications in a high volume pharmacy. Provides a high level of member service.
Verifies prescriptions and refills with physicians by phone.
Obtains patient medical history and maintains confidential computer records.
Counsels customers on proper medication usage.
Provides prompt and courteous customer service.
Answers customer questions about over-the-counter medication and product location.
Addresses other customer concerns including insurance issues.
Preserves customer confidentiality.
Meets proper department production, record keeping, and product storage procedures and standards.
Delivers immunizations.
Approves and submits orders for equipment and supplies.
Orders products using a computer system.
Coordinates proper maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment.
Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
