JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-131776 Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Orangeburg, South Carolina Coverage Period: November 26, 2026 January 1, 2026 Shift Schedule: 24-hour Call (7am to 7 am) Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered COVERAGE DATES Nov 26 - 29 Dec 4 - 7 Dec 11 - 13 Dec 23 - 27 Dec 31 - Jan 1 PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 20 patients per day Case Mix: Normal OBGYN cases, including deliveries and gynecological surgeries FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 32 beds (10 LDRP, antepartum, exam room, 16 pp/gyn rooms) EMR System: Epic REQUIRED PROCEDURES Vaginal deliveries Cesarean sections Gynecological surgical procedures Antepartum and postpartum care DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide 24-hour call coverage for the OB/GYN department Manage labor and delivery, including antepartum and postpartum patients Perform gynecological surgeries in the operating room Care for patients in exam rooms and GYN rooms Handle a high patient volume of approximately 20 patients per day
