About the role, Your ImpactBaxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Civil Engineer III to support water resources, land development, and/or transportation projects. Baxter & Woodman works with municipal and private development clients on projects of all sizes, putting the client and the solution firstsolving problems for people. What your day-to-day will look likeAssist with managing water resources, land development, and transportation design projects and studies, including:Site layout, grading, drainage, and erosion control plansStormwater management, flood mitigation, and water quality systemsWater, wastewater, and utility design and coordinationRoadway, multimodal, access, and site circulation designDevelop hydrologic and hydraulic models of stormwater systems.Prepare drainage studies, stormwater master plans, and supporting technical reports.Analyze and design municipal neighborhood improvements, including stormwater facilities, roadways, sidewalks, utilities, and related site improvements.Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents.Coordinate multidisciplinary design tasks and perform quality control of models, calculations, reports, and plans.Support permitting and coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred.Preferred Skills, what you will bring6+ years of experience designing civil engineering projects, including water resources, land development, and/or transportation projects.Knowledge of infrastructure, site, and roadway design principles and plan preparation.Experience in site layout, grading, drainage, erosion control, utilities, and permitting.Experience with roadway geometry, access, multimodal facilities, and site circulation design.Expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and water quality design.Experience managing or independently executing multidisciplinary design tasks and projects.Excellent technical writing skills.Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.Ability to travel throughout the Baxter & Woodman service area using personal transportation.Experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D is preferred, and ArcGIS experience is a plus.This commitment is evident in our healthcare offerings, including medical, dental, and vision plans, alongside an Employee Assistance Program and dedicated benefit advisors for personalized support.
