MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shifts

Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

This is a contract position for 26 weeks.

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Telemetry team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical competencies, with the ability to manage a patient population primarily focused on medical-surgical care in a telemetry capacity. This role includes charge nurse responsibilities and may require floating to different units within the healthcare system.

Provide high-quality patient care to adults and geriatrics in a telemetry setting.

Administer medications and manage blood products and intravenous therapies.

Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Utilize Epic for documentation and patient management.

Perform EKG monitoring and interpret results.

Participate in rapid response teams and handle emergencies as required.

Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.

Lead charge nurse shifts and provide direction to nursing staff.

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Two years of previous nursing experience, with charge nurse experience preferred.

Demonstrated ability to manage patient ratios of 1:6.

Experience with Epic medical record system is preferred.

Candidates must pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
