Job Title: Medical Technologist- Full time Position with Full Benefits
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our hospital's medical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will possess a New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or a valid permit issued by the NYSDOE Clinical Laboratory to Technology. Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on all specimens received in the laboratory for the assigned station.
Understand the principles of tests performed and possess working knowledge of the equipment used in the assigned station.
Follow all quality control policies and procedures to ensure reliable patient results.
Document all results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or valid permit issued by NYSDOE Clinical Laboratory to Technology.
Experience in chemistry and hematology.
Knowledge of medical technology and clinical laboratory procedures.
Ability to work with laboratory equipment and ensure accurate testing.
Experience in blood bank, coagulation, urology, and general laboratory.
The position is based in a hospital medical laboratory with over 30 Medical Laboratory Technologists on each shift. Departments include Microbiology, Blood Bank, General Lab, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Urology. The work schedule is either overnight from 11pm to 7:30am or from 12pm to 8:30am. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offering a dynamic and growing environment with opportunities for professional growth. The role includes competitive salary, holiday pay (6 days), and vacation pay (10 days).
