CNC Programmers - Manufacturing

CNC Machinist | Precision Parts, Prototypes & Production | Vicksburg, MI

Salary: $25 - $35 per hour

Founded nearly eight decades ago and based in Vicksburg, Michigan, we are an established manufacturer of materials testing equipment and a contract manufacturing partner serving customers locally and nationwide. Our capabilities include CNC machining, welding, metal fabrication, and assembly, supporting projects from individual components to finished products. Originally established in 1948 as a machining and welding shop, we have grown to serve both civil engineering applications and broader manufacturing needs.

Established Manufacturing History: Varied Work: Support prototypes, replacement parts, and production orders.

Broader Manufacturing Exposure: Work in a facility combining machining, fabrication, and assembly.

Quality-Focused Environment: Contribute to products backed by on-site inspection.

Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce parts according to engineering drawings and job specifications.

Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding; Verify setups through safe prove-outs and first-piece inspection before continuing production.

Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other appropriate measuring equipment.

Complete job changeovers and maintain accurate inspection and production records.

Coordinate with inspection and production personnel to resolve quality concerns.

Demonstrated experience independently setting up and operating CNC equipment; Ability to read manufacturing drawings and interpret tolerances.

Strong understanding of cutting tools, workholding, and tool/work offsets.

Proficiency using precision measuring instruments to verify finished parts.

Proven ability to identify machining problems and make adjustments that restore part quality.

Ability to read basic G-code and make minor program edits within authorized procedures.

Experience producing varied parts and handling job changeovers preferred.

GD&T and first-article inspection experience preferred.
