Outpatient Oncology Clinic Nurse - Full Time

Schedule: Full-Time | MondayFriday | 8:00 a.m.5 5:00 p.m.

Salary: $165,00000$193,440 annually, depending on experience

Travel: Local travel may occasionally be required

Guide Patients Through Every Step of Their Care

Cornerstone Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Clinical Oncology Nurse to support patients and families throughout the breast cancer care journey. This position combines clinical nursing, patient education, care coordination, and compassionate advocacy within a collaborative outpatient environment.

What Youll Do

Serve as a primary clinical resource for patients and their families.

Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, treatment, and follow-up care.

Perform nursing assessments during in-person and telehealth visits.

Provide telephone triage and clinical guidance within the RN scope of practice.

Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment options, medications, potential side effects, and available resources.

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams.

Identify barriers to care and connect patients with appropriate support services.

Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate electronic health records.

Support survivorship planning, patient advocacy, and shared decision-making.

Participate in quality-improvement and patient-experience initiatives.

Provide compassionate, culturally responsive care throughout the patient journey.

What Were Looking For

Current California Registered Nurse license.

Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.

At least two years of progressively responsible RN experience.

Ambulatory, outpatient, oncology, infusion, or nurse-navigation experience strongly preferred.

Strong triage, assessment, patient-education, and care-coordination skills.

Knowledge of oncology treatments, medications, and side-effect management.

Experience using Epic or a comparable electronic health record system preferred.

Oncology Certified Nurse, Certified Breast Care Nurse, or nurse navigator certification preferred.

Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Professional Development

The selected nurse should be committed to continued professional growth in oncology and breast patient navigation. Depending on existing credentials and eligibility, the position may require:

OCN, CBCN, or another approved oncology navigation certification.

Completion of an approved oncology navigation education program.

Ongoing continuing education in evidence-based breast oncology care.
