Expo/Food RunnerThe Expo/Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of food from the kitchen to the dining area. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They collaborate with the kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure timely and accurate delivery to orders of guests. Because the Expo/Food Runners interact directly with guests, it is important that they be friendly, upbeat, and able to communicate effectively.Key duties and Responsibilities:Work in a fast-paced, noisy environmentAssist with beverage preparationCommunicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with coworkers, management, and guestsEnsure dishes meet presentation, accuracy and food quality standards before leaving the kitchen and delivering to guestsAddress discrepancies promptly with the appropriate staff memberGarnish plates according to company standards and guidelinesDeliver food orders to tables promptly, connecting with guests to ensure satisfactionPackage to-go orders according to company standards and guidelinesRespond appropriately to guest requests and concerns, communicating them to servers or management as deemed appropriatePrepare, stock and maintain sufficient levels of food and packaging products for smooth serviceMaintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas during and after serviceFollow verbal and written instructions from the management teamPerforms opening and closing duties, as needed, assisting with cleaning, stocking, etcAssist in additional tasks and deep cleaning projects as directed by managementRequirements:Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essentialAbility to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 40 lbs several times a dayAbility to be standing for long periods of timePrevious experience in a high volume restaurant setting is preferredFlexibility to work in varying conditionsWeekend and holiday availability is requiredAt least 16 years of ageAuthorized to work in the USBilingual proficiency is preferredKitchen staff are strongly encouraged to apply
