Construction field engineering

Field Engineer Dewberry is seeking a Field Engineer with construction related project experience in the water and wastewater sector supporting projects nationwide. Preferred candidates will have experience maintaining a project documentation system using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or similar construction-oriented filing and management software. Must have experience with document management of construction submittal packages, specification packages, QA/QC documents, materials test reports, Quality Audits, and preparation of summary reports. Field inspection experience is also preferred.
Remote work is not permitted. This is a non‑fulltime, deployment‑based on‑call position across the United States. Team members are deployed to impacted sites as needed and may travel frequently on short notice. While the role requires physical presence at various disaster locations, it is not tied to a single office or fixed worksite.
Responsibilities Coordinate and collaborate with QA/QC staff, project professional engineers, response managers, and EPA representatives as necessary to complete assignments.
Oversee QA/QC on projects in the field, record data, and certify projects are constructed per design requirements.
Prepare QA/QC reports for field activities.
Review daily assignment schedules and ensure inspection staff are prepared and assigned to cover required inspection and materials testing duties.
Prepare, assemble, and distribute pre‑activity meeting package/documents to construction team.
Attend meetings to record meeting minutes and update all participants with meeting results and any changed information.
Ensure quality documents are submitted, logged, and reviewed daily and then posted for access by various project participants.
Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering or related field.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with document management software and construction management software Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, and other project and construction management programs.
Excellent communication and client relations skills.
Must have the ability to work as a team player.
