This position is a union position; therefore, provisions of the relevant collective bargaining agreement/labor contract apply to the filling of this position.

Receives ongoing training to develop new and updated skills and improve proficiency in
Ensures individuals in custody have access to necessary and appropriate medical services.

Transports and supervises individuals in custody movement to and from destinations inside and/or outside the facility grounds including but not limited to, correctional centers, court and hospitals.

Translates functions/procedures into Spanish for individuals who cannot speak or read English.

Requires successful completion of the Corrections Treatment Officer Training Program.

Prefers working knowledge of the nature and treatment of mental illness or developmental disability.

Requires a valid, appropriate driver's license and an ability to travel statewide.

Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.

Requires ability to carry a firearm.

Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
