Impact of the Role Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
Works with close supervision
Essential Functions Assembles, repairs, and fabricates parts or components for tools or machines by operating mechanical equipment.
Selects and operates the appropriate tools to cut, shape, or finish metal, plastic, or composite material.
Sets up, services, and maintains equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Utilizes precision measuring instruments to check the accuracy and quality of machined parts.
Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units as necessary.
Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Technical training preferred
Equipment Maintenance. Machine Operation. Machine Programming, Manufacturing. Safety Policies and Procedures. Mechanical Maintenance.
Physical Requirements Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
May be requested to work a different shift.
Travel Requirements Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
