Audit Staff - Audit, Accounting, CPA

Job Description Jennie Joiner with Forum Group PNW is partnering with an established CPA firm in Salem, Oregon to add a Staff CPA / CPA Candidate to their team. This is a newly created position due to growth and an excellent opportunity for someone earlier in their CPA career who is looking for a firm where they can develop strong client relationships, take on increasing responsibility, and build a long-term career. This firm works closely with individuals, small to mid-sized businesses, trusts, estates, and nonprofit organizations, providing tax preparation, accounting, review, and compilation services. They do not perform audit work.

Prepare individual, business, trust, estate, and nonprofit tax returns
Assist with financial statement reviews and compilations
Work directly with small business clients on accounting and tax matters
Prepare and review journal entries and financial information
Research and resolve accounting and tax-related questions
Develop relationships with clients and become a trusted resource for their accounting needs
Work closely with experienced CPAs and accounting staff
Assist with additional accounting and tax projects as needed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA license or actively working toward CPA eligibility/licensure
Prior public accounting and tax experience strongly preferred
Solid understanding of general accounting principles and journal entries
Experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns
Strong Excel skills
Experience with professional tax and accounting software preferred
