Experience: PACU or Pre/Post Op experience; critical care post op preferred

What You'll Do
Provide post-anesthesia care to adult and pediatric patients post-surgery
Monitor vital signs and patient status during recovery
Assist with patient assessments and interventions as needed
Float to pediatric PACU as required
Support care for patients across all major surgical specialties
Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts and bladder scanners
Communicate effectively with the surgical team and patients
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols in a high-volume environment
What You Need
~ Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible to obtain
- ACLS, BCLS, PALS certifications
- 2+ years PACU or Pre/Post Op experience
- Epic EHR experience
Preferred:
Critical care post-op background
Experience with pediatric patients
Ability to float between adult and pediatric units
About the Assignment Join a busy surgical recovery unit supporting a diverse patient population in a modern hospital setting. The unit cares for patients from pre-op through Phase I and Phase II recovery across multiple surgical specialties, including pediatrics and adult care, in a facility with extensive OR capabilities.
