Evaluates bids, select and/or recommend suppliers and negotiate price, delivery, quality and service. We Take Care of Our People**Paid Time Off I 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Referral Program I Competitive Pay I Recognition I I**Your Challenge:*** Purchase and maintain proper inventory levels of all raw materials and finished goods.* The purchasing activities for assigned customer projects and customer demand requirements.* Procure commercial and safety related materials ensuring compliance, quality, and on time delivery.* Evaluate demand requirements and develop sourcing strategies to support project timelines.* Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support long term supply stability and performance.* Collaborate cross-functional with operations, engineering, sales, and quality teams.* Perform JIT (just in time) purchasing.* Review and maintain proper safety stock levels.* Your Expertise:*** 2-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or supply chain with full cycle procurement exposure.* Strong understanding of purchasing processes from demand planning through order fulfillment.* Experience evaluating vendors, sourcing materials, and managing supplier performance.* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel* Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred).* Experience with nuclear industry suppliers or safety related materials is a strong plus.* Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain)* Presents positive solutions to organizational challenges* Knowledge of material management functions which includes procurement planning and processes.* Display an understanding of the importance of product quality and compliance with health and safety procedures.Curtiss-Wright's Nuclear Division offers a comprehensive range of products, information systems, and services that help sustain the safe and reliable operation of nuclear, conventional, and renewable power plants throughout the world.
