Englewood Health is seeking dedicated and committed Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-B) to help render emergency medical care to sick, disabled or injured individuals based on signs, symptoms or complaints, prior to the individual's hospitalization or while transporting the individual between health care facilities.

Department: BLS Ambulance Service

Status: Full-time, Part-time, and Per Diem opportunities are available.

Shift: Days/Evenings/Nights/Variable

7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Evenings: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM; 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Nights: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; Two years (2) of full-time BLS experience

One year (1) experience within a hospital facility

Responsible for maintaining all of the operational systems of the Emergency Medical Services Department.

Renders emergency medical care to sick, disabled or injured individual(s) based on signs, symptoms or complaints.

Responsible for all vehicles, supplies and equipment usage during assigned shift.

Ensures that in-service vehicles, supplies and equipment are thoroughly checked.

Assures that the ambulance is cleaned & re-stocked after each run and all forms are completed.

Knowledge of ICS structure and how to apply in various situations

Working knowledge of driver safety and emergency care. Pre Hospital or Basic Trauma Life Support (Basic Level) certification Hazmat training at the awareness level or better within the last 12 months required CEVO training within last within 3 years required WMD Awareness and Operations within 6 months Hazardous Material Awareness and Incident Command System Certifications ICS 200 and 300, NIMS 700, NIMS 800 required Must possess an instructorship within 1 year of appointment: BCLS.
