RDA/DENTAL ASSISTANCE
$18 - $28 per hourJourney Smiles Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry
We are seeking a reliable, experienced and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our Start-Up Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic practice . This role is ideal for a dental assistant with hands-on experience in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics who has a growth mindset, open to learning new things, self‑motivated, and enjoys working with children and families.
Responsibilities
Provide chairside assistance for pediatric dental and orthodontic procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials following clinical protocols
Take impressions, digital scans and X-rays with confidence
Support orthodontic appliance placement, adjustments, and removals
Assist with preventive and restorative pediatric dental care
Ensure strict adherence to infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and CDC standards
Create a calm, friendly, and reassuring experience for pediatric patients and families
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and post‑treatment instructions
Accurately chart clinical notes and assist with documentation in the practice management system
Collaborate with the clinical and front office teams to support efficient patient flow
Schedule
Full‑time (and possibly part‑time) opportunities available.
Pay
$18 - $28 per hour
