Description
American Traveler is hiring an ICU Registered Nurse for a night shift travel assignment requiring EPIC experience and OH or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
- 13 or 18 week winter contract options available
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Floating required at facility discretion, potentially to main campus, south campus, or north campus locations within 10-15 miles, including to high-risk respiratory/COVID units
- Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license required (license in hand not required to apply, but must be obtained before contract start)
BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required (firm requirement)
EPIC charting experience required
Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips, including for trachs
Must pass an online EKG/tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
No history of license disciplinary action accepted
Current Nursys report required at submission
Additional Information
Travel experience preferred
Navy blue scrubs required
Maximum RTO of 14 days allowed per contract; must be requested at initial submission and cannot be added after an offer is made
Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
Previous PERM/PRN staff or prior agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying, subject to facility rehire approval
Travelers are not eligible for facility employee incentives
