Shift:
Shift: To help cover call, time off, holidays, and some Saturdays
Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety.
Screens all patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance per facility policy and current safety standards, including completion of required screening documentation.
Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
General computer skills and PACS [Preferred]
Experience/knowledge of computers/networking [Required]
Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required]
Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education [Required]
Work Experience:
~1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred]

Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located. Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening , including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
