RN I - Remote Telemetry (FLEX)

Medical Surgical Telemetry NurseJoin our healthcare team as a Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse, providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role includes floating to multiple facilities within a defined geographical zone, ensuring flexible and responsive support to various units.LocationGarden City, KSUlysses, KSDodge City, KSResponsibilitiesDeliver compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple specialties, including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, and General Medicine.Monitor and manage patient care in a telemetry setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort.Float as needed between units, adapting to various acuity levels including ICU and Stepdown.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the EPIC charting system.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support clinical decisions.Participate in orientation and training sessions, including potential remote modules.Schedule7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shifts.Expected to float within the assigned zone as required.6-9 weekend shifts scheduled every six weeks.May be requested to rotate into holiday schedules as needed.Patient RatiosThe nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5-6, varying based on patient acuity levels.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience within the last 3 years.Preferred experience in neuro conditions and familiarity with Alaris infusion systems.Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.Additional InformationAll staff must adhere to the floating policies within the designated zone.
