Description:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse needed.
License pending is acceptable, but must have a state RN license in hand for automatic offer.
The assignment length is 13 weeks with startup ASAP.
Night shift is required, three 12-hour shifts per week.
Travelers can be called off for one 12-hour shift every two weeks.
Every other weekend is required.
The unit handles high-risk labor and delivery.
Average daily deliveries range from 7 to 14 patients, with an influx of triage patients.
The unit includes OB triage rooms, labor and delivery rooms, and operating suites.
Interdisciplinary support is available, including therapy and social services.
Candidates should be willing to work two out of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
All time off must be approved on an individual basis.
Charge experience is preferred, but training is available for those willing to learn.
Patient ratios are 1:1 or 2:1, depending on the time.
Each traveler may float to similar units if needed.
The facility is a Magnet designated, Level II trauma center with a total of 407 staffed beds.
Completion of specific training modules is required prior to starting the assignment.
Candidates must have two professional references available.
