Diagnostic Breast Sonographer

Arlington, TX
Work Hours
Full Time – Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
Responsibilities
Operate sonography equipment independently to create images and obtain measurements.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique.
Communicate with patients, relay pertinent information to the radiologist, and document on tracking sheet/chart.
Communicate with the radiologist and perform any necessary additional exams.
Qualifications
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
Active ARDMS certification and current compliance with CME requirements.
Ability to effectively communicate procedures to patients and educate women on preventive breast health.
Proficient reading, writing and comprehension of medical terminology.
Ability to apply common sense to detailed written or oral instructions and solve standardized problems.
Knowledge of database software and RIS/PACS software.
Physical ability to stand for long periods of time.
