RN - Registered Nursing First Assist

Registered Nurse First Assistant – Operating Room
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week Monday-Friday day shifts On-call responsibilities until 11 PM
Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:

RN License (New York)
CNOR Certification
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant course
Davinci Robotics experience required
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) preferred
Roles & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the surgeon and healthcare team to ensure safe operations and optimal patient outcomes.
Practice perioperative nursing with proficiency in scrubbing and circulating within the operating room.
Perform duties as an OR staff RN when not assigned RNFA responsibilities.
Maintain knowledge, skills, and judgment specific to clinical practice in the operating room as an RNFA.
Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care.
Adhere to protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Compliance / Notes: Evening call and rotating holiday requirements. No weekends or holidays required based on unit needs.
