Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring STEMI experience and proficiency with balloon pump, Impella, and atherectomy devices.
Details
Work in the Cath Lab unit of a hospital setting
Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations for adult patients
Procedures include left and right heart catheterization and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
Administer and monitor procedural sedation and manage cardiac medication drips and emergency medications
Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
On-call requirement for evenings and weekends
Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
Any EMR charting system experience accepted
Requirements
Active FL or Compact RN license required
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) via AHA or American Red Cross
Minimum of 18 months of RN experience required, 2 years preferred
Proficiency with balloon pump, Impella, and atherectomy devices required
STEMI experience required
Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Two professional references required from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or unit director
Return to work restriction of 1 year for previous permanent or per diem staff at this health system
Additional Information
Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
Prioritize completion of time-sensitive orientation modules promptly once assignment is confirmed
EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation, with a maximum of 2 attempts per test and no remediation opportunities
Study materials will be provided to support orientation testing
Facility maintains a strict do-not-call-in policy and is a smoke-free environment
All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to consideration for the assignment
