Attorney At Law

We are seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in personal injury and/or civil litigation to join our growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of cases while continuing to develop litigation and courtroom skills through mentorship and hands-on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury matters and be comfortable managing cases through various stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and court appearances.

Key Responsibilities

Handle civil litigation matters, with a focus on personal injury cases (auto accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, etc.)

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, demand packages, and legal correspondence

Conduct legal research and develop case strategies

Manage written discovery, document review, and case file development

Take and defend depositions, including parties, witnesses, and experts

Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and case evaluations

Attend court hearings, status conferences, and motion hearings

Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and exhibit management

Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case progression and client service

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Admission to the State Bar of Michigan and in good standing

1-3 years of experience in personal injury litigation and/or civil litigation

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery-related documents

Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury matters

Exposure to insurance defense or bodily injury claims litigation

Experience conducting or defending depositions

Familiarity with medical records review, damages analysis, and case valuation

Experience participating in mediations, settlement negotiations, or trial preparation

Courtroom experience, including hearings and motion practice
