You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader.ResponsibilitiesProcesses all insurance requests from project teams including review of application for completeness, coordination with broker to obtain pricing, communicating quotes, binding coverage, and extending or terminating coverage as neededSupports all administrative tasks associated with certain coverages including builder's risk, corporate, wrap ups, project specific placements, or vendor relationshipsCoordinates with the Risk Manager to assess project or subcontractor risks to ensure Gilbane has appropriate coverageMaintains DocBuilder or its equivalent including form content and workflowMaintains data in Gilbane's risk management systems including accurate project details, coverage details, and coverage statusCoordinates with Risk Managers when communicating with project teamsCoordinates and maintains relationships with brokers, carriers, and vendors to ensure that all Gilbane policies are in place and provides coverage with the goal of preventing any gaps in coverage for insurable risksCoordinates with Corporate Accounting for all insurance costsHelps with the coordination of the Gilbane Insurance Group (GIG) Help DeskCoaches and mentors less experienced team membersSupports a positive and inclusive work environmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field0-5 years of experience in the construction or risk management industries or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of the insurance market including coverages, trends, and pricingStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsAbility to function as an integral part of a team while being highly collaborativeAbility to coordinate and manage efforts involving individuals from different geographic areas as well as external partnersStrong financial and analytical skillsAbility to understand issues quickly and follow through with a resolutionStrong customer service skillsStrong problem solving, planning, multi-tasking, and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and other critical RMIS softwareAbility to work independently and handle complex issues while under moderate supervisionInteracts well with and can influence senior level Business Unit (BU) managementSalary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.For Richmond, VA this ranges from $85,000-95,000 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
