Through these experiences, peers are better equipped to lead healthy lives and participate in their communities.
As a Part-Time Cook at The Main Place in Mt. Your responsibilities will include selecting and setting out food for a delicious continental breakfast, ensuring our early risers start their day off right. Additionally, you will prepare hearty homestyle lunches for 25-35 people, with meals ready to serve promptly at 11:30 AM. You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing food inventory, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available for meal preparation. This position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while contributing to a customer-centric environment focused on quality care.
To excel as a Part-Time Cook at The Main Place, you will need strong cooking skills with an emphasis on preparing nutritious homestyle meals, typically including an entrée and sides of vegetables and/or fruit. Familiarity with managing a limited food budget and utilizing local food pantry resources is crucial for success in this role. A willingness to work in an environment that supports individuals with lived experiences of mental illness is essential, as it fosters a compassionate approach to our culinary services.
