Full-time Senior Tax Preparer

The Senior Tax Associate is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive benefits package and performance-based bonus potential. This role sits within Moneco’s tax preparation and planning practice, embedded inside a Registered Investment Advisory firm — which means you’ll work at the intersection of tax compliance and holistic financial planning, with real opportunities to grow into a supervisory role.

What You’ll Do You’ll manage a full range of tax compliance and planning responsibilities while working closely with both clients and the wealth management team. Tax Preparation & Compliance Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, exempt, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal and state tax laws.

Calculate and prepare personal and business estimated federal and state tax payments.

Interpret, investigate, and respond to correspondence from the IRS and other taxing agencies.

Tax Planning & Strategy Develop tax and financial strategies and implement them in coordination with the wealth management team.

Partner with advisors to deliver integrated planning solutions that optimize clients’ overall financial picture.

Stay current with evolving tax law and proactively communicate relevant changes to clients and colleagues.

Client Communication & Service Communicate directly with clients and staff to ensure timely, accurate delivery of financial statements and tax documents.

What We’re Looking For CPA or EA designation highly preferred.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns.

Tax planning and wealth management coordination experience.

RIA industry experience preferred.

Proficiency with tax software including Lacerte, TaxDome, and SurePrep; Microsoft Office Suite; QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
