Buyer/Purchasing Associate

KARL STORZ is seeking an Associate MRO Buyer to support indirect procurement and supplier management activities across our operations. This entry-level purchasing role offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in procurement, supplier relations, sourcing, inventory management, and business process improvement while working alongside experienced purchasing professionals. You will play a key role in ensuring continuity of supply, maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier data, supporting cost savings initiatives, and providing exceptional service to internal stakeholders across the organization.

This role will be an on-site positin based out of our Auburn, MA location. Occasional travel to KARL STORZ and supplier sites may be required.

Monitor inventory levels, manage replenishment activities, and maintain accurate purchasing data within SAP.

Support supplier onboarding, vendor master data management, and Approved Supplier List (ASL) administration.

Partner with Accounts Payable, Receiving, Warehouse, and suppliers to resolve purchasing, delivery, and invoice-related issues.

Assist with supplier performance monitoring, sourcing initiatives, and implementation of cost savings projects.

Prepare reports, analyze purchasing data, and support procurement process improvements and compliance activities.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

• 0-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, operations, inventory planning, or a related business function.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP/MRP system preferred.

Experience with supply chain analysis, Tableau, or data reporting tools.

Experience in the medical device industry.

A customer-focused mindset and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier data.

Initiative to identify process improvement and cost savings opportunities.

Eagerness to learn procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and inventory planning best practices.
